Wing Doolie
From USAFA Folklore
The champion of the Wing Doolie Competition was also known as the Wing Doolie. The competition usually included a uniform inspection; an intense Doolie knowledge evaluation; an assessment of the competitors bearing and stractness; and occasionally a push-up contest. The competition was normally done monthly, with each squadron entering one participant. The competition would start by group, and the group winners would advance to the Wing competition. The winner of Group or Wing Doolie would often get privileges for himself and for his fellow fourth class cadets in his squadron, but sometimes also attracted extra unwanted attention from upperclassmen.
For a while, there was a joke shoulderboard made for the Wing Doolie, with four clouds and two stars on it. I guess it was supposed to stand out, to highlight the Wing Doolie so upperclassmen could find him more easily.
