Roman Blast

The legendary cadet party known as “The Roman Blast” was held in Denver on 21 February 1958. It was a veritable drunken orgy. The organizers were two member of the Class of 1960, Rosie Cler and Al Johnson. In 1959 they threw another party with a "Roaring Twenties" theme. The "franchise" was later acquired by Hector Negroni who threw a couple of similar parties. One was the “Cadet Playboy Party” in 1960 where some of the Playmate Bunnies from the Denver Playboy Club were guests. The party was held at the Old Antlers Hotel, which was a wooden structure located in the same place as today’s Antlers Hotel.
