Restriction
From USAFA Folklore
Restriction is a punitive or corrective measure placed on cadets. While restricted, a cadet may not leave the Cadet Area, and is prohibited from signing out and leaving the base, even on weekends. Cadets who attempt to jump restriction and leave the base are considered OTF, and can be severely punished if caught.
In traditional cadet punishments, restriction was always the third part of the "hit". For instance a punishment of "20/20/1" would indicate restriction for one month (along with 20 tours/confinements and 20 demerits), and the restriction would remain in effect regardless of whether or not the cadet finished the tours. A punishment of "10/5/Yes" would indicate 10 tours/confinements, 5 demerits, and restriction until the tours/confinements assigned were completed--however long that took.
