The overall performance average (OPA) is used to determine Graduation order of merit. Generally it is only calculated at graduation, and not each semester.

Before the implementation of the physical education average (PEA), the OPA was determined by taking a weighted average, with 70% of the weight coming from the grade point average (GPA) and 30% of the weight from the military performance average (MPA).

Since the implementation of the PEA in 19__, it has been factored into the OPA, with 50% GPA, 35% MPA, and 15% PEA. This is not consistently done, however, as there have been classes since the introduction of the PEA whose OPA was still measured according to the old ratio.
