Correction is the polite and proper term for upper class cadet's personal attention to a basic cadet or fourth class cadet's infraction of a cadet regulation, custom, or courtesy. For example, an upper class cadet will correct a doolie's posture by ordering the doolie to get his or her shoulders back and down.

One of the classic ways to start a training session is for the senior cadet to announce, "Cadre, fall out and make corrections".
