Class Representative

The Class Representative (or "Class Rep") is a designated fourth class cadet in a squadron who serves as a point of contact and/or spokesperson for the fourth class cadets in that squadron. Depending on the squadron, the Class Rep may be responsible for assigning/administering fourth class details, communicating information to and from the class, and may be required to answer for subpar performance of the class as a whole.

Depending on the individual squadron's philosophy, the Class Rep job may be given to the sharpest fourth class cadet in the squadron as either a plum or to ensure that fourth class details run efficiently. Conversely, it could be given to an underperforming cadet in an attempt to give that cadet the opportunity to improve his or her performance (or else fail miserably trying).
