A Cadet Punishment Order is the typical official order for cadet punishments. The orders were read from the Staff Tower during the evening meal. Tours consisted of marching one hour with the rifle in Class A uniform. Weather never prevented the marching of tours. You marched in rain, snow, cold, wind, heat, or whatever. Prior to marching, the Officer of the Day would conduct a uniform/rifle inspection. If you did not pass the inspection you still had to march the tour but would get no credit for the tour. Normally, you would wear out the soles of a pair of shoes every 25 tours.
