Cadets in Aid to Families of POWs
Established: 19__
Club type: Service

A service club that existed until Spring of 1980, Cadets in Aid to Families of POWs (CAFPOW) was a conduit for community service by male cadets to serve a Big Brother function to local families of MIA's and POW's. As an '80 Grad I don't know when the club began but was there when the involved families, by my time MIA families, pulled the plug as most cases where reclassified as KIA during my cadet years. I still correspond with the two families I was assigned. We would take the families on ski trips, football games, and every Mother's Day would take them to Elich Gardens and Casa Bonita.
