Book bandits

The Book Bandits are those entrepreneurial vendors who seek to inculcate in cadets the economic meaning of caveat emptor. At the end of every semester, a used book company arrives at USAFA to buy back textbooks from cadets at a rate that seems like $ .10 on the dollar that a cadet paid only four months earlier. Though they are referred to as the Book Bandits, cadets often cannot resist selling a thousand dollars worth of now "useless" books for $150 cash.
