Blues

Blues is the basic cadet uniform, consisting of blue trousers or skirt (for women), light blue short sleeved or long-sleeved shirt, and tie, if appropriate. Either the service cap (wheel cap) or the flight cap may be worn with this uniform combination. In colder weather, the athletic jacket or parka may be worn over blues.

In early days, this uniform was referred to as either Service Charlie (blue uniform with wheel hat or banana boat for women) or Service Delta (blue uniform with flight cap).
