Blue magnet

The blue magnet is cadet slang for the issued comforter. It is usually blue with class color trim. It draws cadets to bed like a magnet (and likewise is very reluctant to release them from its grasp when it's time to wake up). There have been some class years when cadets were issued gray magnets or no magnets at all.
