Airborne School
From USAFA Folklore
Each summer, a select group of cadets has the opportunity to attend the U.S. Army's Airborne School in Fort Benning, Georgia, where they would have the opportunity to earn their jump wings by completing five static line parachute jumps.
Cadet graduates of the Airborne School would often take steps to distinguish themselves from the more numerous graduates of the Academy's own Freefall Parachute Training. This was often done by wearing black jump wings on their BDUs or wearing an Airborne tab on their athletic jacket.
