2004 paints Eagle Peak

A few days before the Class of 2004's graduation, two graduating cadets scaled the rock face of Eagle Peak and painted a large 04 on the rock. This mark was visible from the entire Academy reservation and I-25. The cadets were unfortunately caught and punished, and the 04 was eventually sandblasted off, but their accomplishment remains one of the most spectacular spirit missions executed to date.

Even though the 04 was sandblasted off, the force of the sandblaster left an imprint of the 04, which still remains to this day.
